For individual self sign-up activities (e.g. Saturday Clubs and Summer Schools) delivered through our KMPF Outreach offer, the following eligibility criteria applies:

  • Unless stated otherwise, priority spaces are given to students living in KaMCOP (Uni Connect) target areas (determined by your home postcode), or attending a KMPF Partner school/college (see lists above).
  • Any remaining spaces are allocated to prioritise those from under-represented groups:

    Students who share one or more of the following particular characteristics where data shows gaps in equality of opportunity in relation to access, success or progression (as identified by the Office for Students):
    • students who would be the first generation in their family to go to University (1st generation HE)
    • students from some black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds
    • disabled students (those sharing a disability, learning difficulty or long-term physical or mental health condition)
    • students who are currently in care or who have been in care in the past 6 months
    • care leavers (students who have previously been in care)
    • young carers (students currently caring for a relative with a disability, illness, mental health conditions or drug or alcohol problem)
    • students with limited or no contact with their families (estranged)
    • students from Gypsy, Roma, Traveller or Showman and Boater communities
    • refugees and asylum seekers
    • service children (students with a parent/carer currently serving in the armed forces)
    • students receiving free school meals.
