Our creative competitions challenge students and young people to have a go at briefs that are set by our very own academics.
As well as being in with a chance of a prize, we hope that entries are used for students’ portfolios too.
This academic year we’ll be holding three competitions covering the creative arts, business and technology.

Each UCA competition has three prize winners.
1st prize: £100 Arts Voucher
2nd prize: £50 Arts Voucher
3rd prize: £25 Arts Voucher
*The prizes are as stated and no other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. The prizes are awarded for each competition in each school.

Judging
- UCA will select a panel of a minimum of three judges. The judges determine the shortlist, winner and runners-up. UCA reserves the right to appoint new/substitute judges at different stages of the competition for reasons outside its reasonable control (including, but not limited to, in the case of illness, unavoidable absence or conflict of interest of any of the judges).
- Judging and final decisions of competition winners will take the week after the competition closes. The final decision will be announced one week after the competition is closed.
- Shortlisted entries will be displayed on the UCA competition pages.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Admission criteria
Our competitions are suitable for young people aged 15 to 20 years old, who have an interest in creative subjects and would like to develop their skills, knowledge and portfolio.
The aim of these competitions is to provide an opportunity for young people to access free creative opportunities from a higher education institution to support them to find out more about creative subjects, pathways, and careers.

Participants must live in the United Kingdom to enter.
